Biography
Amy Dereczyk is an associate professor and chair of the Physician Assistant (PA) program at University of Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV. She is an alumna of Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV's PA program, with her clinical background being in emergency medicine. Professor Dereczyk’s research interests are in point of care ultrasound and interprofessional education. She has seven peer-reviewed publications focused on these topics. Professor Dereczyk’s Learning Design and Technology doctoral research looks at how point of care ultrasound is currently taught in PA education and how it can be improved. Professor Dereczyk has made numerous trips to Africa to work in a clinic in rural Nigeria. She has received several grants from the Physician Assistant Foundation to support this clinic. Her interests are in serving the underserved both locally and internationally.
